Back from NY, it ... was... AMAZING!
Wednesday: Bus ride there. it was fun, but the time change was kinda confusing x3. we watched 'Dark Knight', 'Day After Tomorrow', and 'I am Legend'. I slept on the floor.

Thursday: we reached NY. the tour was fun (kinda boring). We ate and went shopping in Chinatown and Little Italy. I got this robe thing... I don't know. We stayed in the hotel. I roomed with Weide, Joey, and Shmitt. slept on the floor

Friday: We played on the U.S.S Intrepid (formerly an aircraft carrier. now a museum). we visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (bought more stuff). We stayed in the rain for an hour waiting for our buses, but we played 'Bunny Bunny', so it was okay. We went to the Majestic Theater on Broadway and saw
'The Phantom of the Opera'. It was ORGASMIC! it was kinda ruined cause I've worked in theater, so I know all the little tricks.

Saturday: we toured the NBC studio. we did a little more shopping (kinda pissed. our group had 4 boys and 8 girly girls. we couldn't stop in Guitar center, Mens Wear House, anything WE liked. But we had to stop at every store that sold skirts, purses, shoes, sunglasses, ect. i still have most my money). a while later we went to the Museum of Modern Art. We traveled to the top of the Empire State Building. We left for home.

Sunday: We got home.

Cheer practice starts in like, 3 MINUTES! GOTTA GO!

Ah, another school year over. This summer is gonna be great!

Next week, the band goes to NY! Touring, playing, recording, shopping, not to mention we get to see Phantom of the Opera live on Broadway! The bus ride is 15 hours, and I share a seat with Jordan. Only problem is we have to sleep in those seats. I want to sleep on the floor, but she won't let me. Seeing I cuddle in my sleep, I hope I don't wake up groping her or anything like that. ^///^;;;;

After 3 fun filled days in NY, I come home. the next day, CHEER PRACTICE STARTS!

The next week, it's time for Band Camp at U of I. Besides the main class, we have 3 electives. I signed up for Conducting/Drum Major, Music Composition, and West African Drumming.

Once I get home, I'm home for a while. Cheer practice at 8 a.m every other morning. Near the beginning of school, we have our own band camp. I might sign up a the local theater, but they don't like my mom, so I'm probably not gonna get anything. I'm gonna look for a job, and I'll see what else comes my way. Wow, what a busy summer!

Okay, so the year is winding down. A bit of things in the way (Swine Flu, and whatnot)but it's good. I'm dating Jordan, who's in the color guard. I'm going to baptise a friend at church (i can do that now, our church is kinda odd).

Anyway, today I'm playing for opening ceremony of the Spring Valley Special Olympics. I'm not IN the Olympics, I'm just playing music to start it of. Along with the LP and Hall bands.

Next Tuesday, we have our final choir concert of the year "An Evening on Broadway." It's very fun, we get to sing 'The Ballad of Sweeney Todd' with the organ . A few other fun songs, a slide show for the seniors (we will miss them).

The Monday of the week after is our spring band concert. Last thing I play on my violin this year, then it's back to marching band. Yay.

Last night, my friend Mitch Payton died. He suffered from Down Syndrome and Leucemia. He always smiled, never sad. Always had joy in his heart when he played that tambourine at halftime. I'm glad his suffering is over and his pains have ceased. I'll try to have a good day, as I know he wouldn't want us in a mood like this. By us, I mean that the whole school was his friend.
ironically, the day before was the 9th anniversary of my dad's death...
